TWO new books on prize-winning poetry and the art of teaching writing were launched on campus in March 2012.
Geographies of Light (UST Publishing 2011) by DLSU Literature Department faculty Dr. Dinah Roma-Sianturi features poems about time, space, and the experience of travel. The collection won a Carlos Palanca Memorial Award for Literature in 2007.
Another DLSU faculty member, Connie Jan Maraan, introduced an engaging compilation of short stories and essays about writing and the art of teaching writing in a book called Better Homes and Other Fictions, (UST Publishing 2011).
The publications were unveiled to the public during an event hosted by the DLSU Bienvenido N. Santos Creative Writing Center and University of Santos Tomas Publishing House, in cooperation with the DLSU Literature Circle.
